Ben Rowland brings to University Proposals more than two decades of experience in publishing, proposal and oral presentation development, business development support, and creative services.  As a proposal and oral presentation expert, Ben has consulted with dozens of Fortune 500 companies, international organizations, universities, and Federal agencies on hundreds of efforts.  Ben has managed, directed, and provided support and supervision for large proposals, oral presentations, and site visits valued at more than $3 billion with more than 100 teammates.

Possessing both a creative mind and practical business and technical sense, Ben is a master orator and is frequently sought to facilitate the collaborative writing cycle involving principal investigators, subject matter experts, scientists, engineers, professional writers, industry participants, teammates, subcontractors, and other internal and external stakeholders.

Ben is based in the Washington, D.C. area and is available to travel nationally and internationally for site visit coordination and on-site development of written and oral proposals.

Alison Lipson brings to University Proposals more than two decades of experience in coordinating, editing, and reviewing proposals and oral presentations.  Having supported more than 50 different proposal teams across the country to produce more than 400 proposals and oral presentations, Alison has extensive experience in interpreting and responding to RFPs, RFIs, RFQs, BAFOs, Q&As, FOAs, and LOIs.

A master coordinator of large and small proposal efforts, Alison is an expert at implementing structure and discipline to the proposal process, the team, and client deliverables. Working one-on-one with authors, subject matter experts, and other team members, Alison’s coordination skills have made the process easier and more effective for universities and Fortune 500 companies nationwide. Her expertise editing both technical and non-technical material improves the clarity, completeness, and readability of written proposals and presentation material.

Steve Lipson

Steve Lipson brings to University Proposals more than two decades of experience in developing, writing, and editing technical, marketing, and training materials. His proposal writing style focuses on a collaborative approach that clearly communicates requirements and “win themes” to ensure a responsive, well written final product.

As a writer and editor, Steve has worked on technical and management volumes for State, Local, and Federal government proposals, as well as funding opportunities and grants for universities and non-profit organizations. Steve has an extensive background in public speaking, and has a unique ability to coach even the novice presenter into delivering polished, professional oral presentations for site and reverse site visits.
Steve is based in Florida and is available to travel nationally and internationally for on-site development of written and oral proposals.
